To typing the name to jump down for so long it's an obvious difference for them and we're hoping to understand why. Certainly they can use the mouse and scroll down the list, but since they've been accustomed It's not a game breaker, but for some of our users with thousands of messages, they had become used to doing this to find all messages from a specific user. The jumping breaks and always jumps to the very bottom message. Jumping down the list by typing the letters of names works fine up until we 'retrieve more messages' from the Exchange server. Our domain policies set things to work in cached mode, so switching to online is not an option.

(We are in the process of converting to Windows 10/Office 365 after previously using Windows 7/Office 2010.) Not that it matters, but we are usingĦ4-bit version of Office 365 and it is the Deferred Channel (now known as Semi-annual channel). I honestly cannot say if it has always occurred since we switched over to use Office 365 or not. 2209 to test this version before we deploy it, but most folks are running v.2200 and have had the issue with a prior version too, though (We had called this in with Microsoft, but the person working with the MS representative is getting nowhere getting them to understand the issue.) Knowing if it's a bug, by design, or what. But I wanted to ask if anyone else out there is seeing this same behavior or has heard of this? I don't expect a fix per say, but would feel better I can't say when this started occurring, or even if this is just how "cached mode" works. Very end (last message) in my list! So if I type 's' again to go down to the names beginning with 's', it does NOT take me to the 's' and instead jumps to the very end which is 'z'. When I start typing the letters of a name, on the first letter typed, it jumps me down to the So NOW I click on the "From" column to sort by name. After clicking this, I now see all of them, which may be 2,000 messages. On this, I may have 300 messages showing up in my Inbox. This will retrieve the rest of my messages in that folder. Since we are in cached mode, to see the rest of my email messages in the Inbox, I have to click the "Click here to view more on Microsoft Exchange" link. I start typing "sm" for the last name of Smith. Once sorted by the 'From' column, I can start typing the persons last name and it will 'jump' me down to that place in the sorted list. If I go to my Inbox, or another folder, in Outlook I can click on the "From" column to sort email messages by who sent them to me. Things are setup such that it is running in 'cached mode' and I believe it is set to cache the last 90 days. We are using Office 365 and running Outlook to connect to Exchange.
